Student Teaching- Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek, CA- Jan-June, 2002

Introduced high school students to the adventures of art and design. Art One emphasized observational drawing, building skills with various media and fostering success and confidence. Art Three emphasized design and empowering students to communicate through visual media.

Substitute Teaching- Acalanes Union High School District, CA- Jan-June, 2002

Master’s Coordinator- Stanford University School of Education, Stanford, CA- 1997-2001

Guided students towards degree completion for the Master of Arts in Education. Advised prospective graduate students about navigating the admissions process and researching programs in the School of Education. Supported faculty supervision of their programs. Organized the admissions process. Assessed the needs of students for policies and services and promoted corresponding programs. With the Academic Services team, planned and implemented student events, such as Orientation and Commencement.

Admissions Counselor- California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA- 1993-1997

Created dynamic previsualization of the CCAC experience for prospective students. Recruited students off-campus through presentations and portfolio reviews at high schools, community colleges and portfolio day fairs. Developed alliances with high school and community college educators. Recruited students on-campus through individual appointments, tours and events. Conducted interviews and portfolio reviews to evaluate the student's admissibility to the college. Advised students of their compatibility with the program and estimated transfer credit. Evaluated applications for the student's artistic and academic potential for admission and scholarship.

Tour & Housing Director- Academy of Art College, San Francisco, CA- 1991-1993

Developed and conducted campus tours for prospective students. Designed promotional and procedural materials for campus housing. Evaluated campus housing applications and roommate assignments. Coordinated student activities, services and conflict resolution. Coordinated off-campus housing listings.

As an Administrative Assistant for the Illustration Department, provided services to illustration students. Edited and designed promotional and curricular publications. Coordinated gallery space, models, grading and attendance. Supervised work-study assistants in student service and office task assignments.
